Attorney Ben Wagner earned his law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law, where he concentrated his studies on family law, civil claims, and bankruptcy. During law school, he also gained trial experience through the Zeke Giorgi Criminal Defense Clinic in Rockford, Illinois. He focuses his practice primarily on criminal defense, family law, and bankruptcy. Ben began his career as an attorney with the State Public Defender's office in Janesville, Wisconsin, where he handled criminal, child support contempt, guardianship, and mental health commitment cases. He has extensive experience with criminal litigation, and has obtained favorable outcomes for clients in hundreds of cases.
Prior to law school, Ben served in the United States Army and Army Reserve; first as a supply sergeant, and then as a recruiter, from 1999 to 2013. He earned his Bachelor's degree in philosophy from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago while serving in the Army. Ben is a recent transplant to Wisconsin, and he enjoys all that the Madison area has to offer. However, he remains a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears, White Sox, and Blackhawks.
